1⃣Build FP: talk, gift, complete requests
2⃣Trigger heart events (8 hearts, friendly choices)

If you are already married, then this guide is pointless for you. However, you can date multiple characters in the game. So if you are “dating” a character and looking for marriage, this guide is all you need.

First step is to increase your relationship with the bachelors and bachelorettes in Zephyr Town. Each eligible bachelor and bachelorette has a color that shows their relationship level.

You can see them in the Resident Info tab when you open the game menu. When you get a request from them, their corresponding color will change.

Each character will have their own story, and once you reach a certain level, their relationship meter will lock. This means that it’s time you get a request from them. You won’t be able to get the request from them the same day you locked the relationship meter.

Improving your relationship with characters

improving relationship in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar

To improve your relationship with characters in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar, the three main methods are to give them a lot of gifts, go to events with them, and regularly talk to them.

When you reach six hearts with any of the bachelors and bachelorettes, you will get a cutscene, a confession, or them asking how you feel about them. You will be met with the 2 options below.

  1. I’ve fallen in love with you.
  2. You’re a great friend.

By choosing the first option, you will start dating them and receive a memento from them through the mail the next day. Choose the 2nd option, and things will not change between you and them, but you will still get the memento from them the next day.

If you are married, you won’t get this option, but still receive the mementos from them when upon reach this relationship milestone. However, as I mentioned above, if you are already “dating” someone, you will still get these options.

Now that you are dating a character, your next step is to upgrade your bed to a Double Bed from Wilbur’s stall at the bazaar. When you reach 8 hearts with someone you are dating, Sonia and Stuart will tell you about Zephyr Town’s tradition, which involves proposing to your lover with a blue feather. Worry not, they will give you the blue feather themselves.

Proposing to your Lover for Marriage

To propose to your lover for marriage in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar, give them the blue feather you got from Sonia and Stuart, and she will say yes.

You don’t need to max out the relationship levels to get married. Now, you both will start planning for the wedding, which will take place next week, also featuring a long cutscene.

Note: The game fully supports same-gender marriages, your character can marry any of the 12 candidates.

Once the time has arrived, you’ll get a cutscene with everyone in Zephyr Town at your marriage ceremony. Wait for it to finish, starting a happy life with your partner on your farm.

You will immediately get the Wedding Rings memento. You will get different responses from spouses. Like from marrying Freya, she will ask you if today’s special day is their birthday or anniversary.

Your spouse won’t do anything except admire some of the furniture, not take care of pets, crops, or animals. But it’s nice to always have someone around you. She will cook her own food, eat breakfast, go to work, and do some other normal activities.

How to Start a Family in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

As you and your partner live your peaceful life together, you’ll start getting hints of starting a family together. But before anything happens, you will need to upgrade your bed one last time. Wait for the next bazaar upgrade and talk to Wilbur. Purchase the Deluxe Bed Upgrade of 50,000G. Now it’s just a waiting game.

You’ll know you are getting closer when you get the “Let’s be patient. It’ll happen when it happens” dialogue. By getting Freya to nine hearts, you will get a cutscene the night after, in which Happy Sprites will greet you, saying a baby is on the way.

The next morning, you both will be talking about your so-called “dream”, which will later turn out to be a reality. You will then later wake up one morning with a cutscene, and the baby is here.

You are now required to give the child a name, and also give a name that the child will call you later when they grow up or start talking.

You’ll also celebrate wedding anniversaries and birthdays with added cutscenes or dialogue. However, know that your family doesn’t really play any role beyond having meals in your day-to-day life.

They’ll eat and sleep at your house, that’s pretty much it.
