One of the mounts currently available in the early access version Grounded 2 is the Orb Weaver. The process of getting this mount is similar to the Red Soldier Ant. You’ll need to find the egg and hatch it to create the Orb Weaver. However, there is a small requirement to this process, you need to complete the story content before you gain the ability to hatch the eggs.
So even you find the eggs before completing the story, which you can, you won’t be able to hatch them. Keep completing the game’s objectives and you’ll complete the story mode in a few hours.
During the story mode you will also unlock the Hatchery as part of one of the missions in the game. The hatchery is required to hatch the Orb Weaver eggs.
Orb Weaver Eggs Location
Head toward the corner between the Snack Bar front, the Picnic Table, and the Grass Game Zone. This is the location where you often find the Wolf Spider. They’re not always hostile on sight, but they do roam the area unpredictably.
Look for the large metal street light nearby. That’s your landmark. The Wolf Spider sometimes sleeps inside it, but whether he’s there or not, you can still access the egg.
Bring an ant companion with you. Because once you’re carrying the egg, you can’t defend yourself properly. If you take a hit while holding the egg, you’ll drop it. Carrying it all the way back to your base without backup is a nightmare unless your base is literally right next to the street light.
