The Red Soldier Ant is one of the two mounts available in Grounded 2 as part of its early access launch. You’ll unlock the Red Soldier Ant after a couple of hours of progression in the game. You will a quest to find the Snackbar Turbo Optical Disk.
The Disk lets is the first step to unlocking the mount as it allows you to purchase the Hatchery, required to breed the Red Soldier Ant. The Snackbar Turbo Optical Disk is found inside an underground cave system in the western part of the map near the tutorial area, where you will be directed as part of the mission.
You’ll have to find the disk and return it to one of the terminal throughout the park in Grounded 2.
You will find the disk on a dead body, loot the disk and return it to the ranger station to unlock the ability to buy the Hatchery for 500 Raw Science. The Hatchery is used to incubate eggs. Place it inside you base before going out to find Red Soldier Ant Eggs.
Red Soldier Ant Egg Location in Grounded 2
Red Soldier Ant Eggs can be found inside Hatchery Anthill North and South.
The South ant hill is the first one you’ll come across in the game so lets go through that one first. There are plenty of Red Soldier Ants inside to come prepared. The Red Soldier Ant eggs are at the very bottom of the dungeon.
There are standard ant eggs along the way but we don’t need those. Know that when you pick up a Red Soldier Ant egg you won’t be able to place it inside your inventory. You’ll have to carry it back to the hatchery which means dropping it when you’re attacked. Moreover, you can only carry one of these eggs at a time and you can’t equip a weapon when you’re carrying one.
Put the egg in the hatchery back at your base and after a while you’ll have yourself a Red Soldier Ant Mount.
