Techrot Safes can spawn in various missions, but they are more frequent in Hell Scrub missions. and to open them requires something called Safe Biocode.
To find Techrot Safes, aka Techrot Caches, you need to keep an eye on your map. As soon as you come within range of a safe, you will see them marked on the map.
You will also get a waypoint to it, so it will be much easier for you to find it. But the problem is not finding them, but opening the Techrot Safes, which becomes a problem if you don’t know where to find Safe Biocodes.
How to Open Techrot Safes in Warframe 1999
Update: After Hotfix 38.0.4 (December 2024), Biocodes are now marked by air‑support scanning.
The safes are typically marked on your map as item caches, so follow the marker, and you will find the safe. The code you need to open the safes is usually close by.
The Safe Biocode always spawns nearby the Techrot Safe, typically within about 100 to 120 meters. Using a Box breaker Limbo build or mods like Synthesis Scanner or Animal Instinct can help highlight containers and speed up the search.
Look for small, blue items with a beacon on top that emit a robotic voice when you approach them.
I suggest increasing the volume, especially if you are not playing with headphones on. Raising the volume makes it easier to hear the sound.
Equip mods like Animal Instincts or use a Sentinel with the Vacuum mod to help locate the Biocode more easily, as it will not highlight like other items on your map. And some users have also reported finding it by using Synthesis Scanner, so whatever works best for you.

When you open the safe, you will get Hollars, the main currency used in Warframe 1999. But you will also get other rewards like Hex Treasures and Arcanes.
