How to Get Spider Lily Armor in Ghost of Yotei

After spending a ton of time in Ghost of Yotei I can safely say that Spider Lily is one of the best armor sets in the game. It is acquired after completing a simple mythic tale in the Tokachi Range.

Quest name: The Spider Lily General (a Mythic Tale)
Region: Tokachi Range (southern area)
Starting point: Enter the “Mysterious Gate” in the south of Tokachi Range
Rewards: Spider Lily Armor (body armor) plus associated perks and the ability to upgrade it further

Explore the haunted plateau

Ghost of Yotei Spider Lily General Quest Walkthrough

First we need to start the quest which is done after you go to the Mysterious Gate in the south of Tokachi Range. As soon as you enter the gate a cutscene will play with Ugetsu and the end of the cutscene gives you access to a new area.

After the cutscene, proceed forward along a lantern-lit path. The route is mostly linear at first, guiding you deeper into the haunted plateau.

Eventually you’ll arrive at a gate with four large locks, this is your barrier you must unlock.

Spider Lily General Key #1

From the locked old door, turn around and you will see this Japanese pagoda. The first key is on the other side of it, inside a small chest.

Spider Lily General Key #2

After taking the first Engraved Key from the Pagoda, follow the path behind the Pagoda to reach the graveyard in the western edge of the area. There are enemies in the graveyard. Kill them all and loot one of them to get the second Old Key.

Spider Lily General Key #3

For the third key we need to go back to the locked door near the Pagoda, but this time take the path to the left of the locked door. Keep going until you find a bamboo forest and a path that leads inside a maze.

This is actually a puzzle that you need to solve.

But the solution is easy, all you have to do is follow the path with the red flowers. You have to follow the path until you circle back to the Bamboo Strike. You have to do this three times and each time the path with the red flowers changes. The third time you arrive back to the Bamboo Strike interact with it to get the key.

Spider Lily General Key #4

The final Engraved key is inside the Southern Caves on the path to the right of the locked gate.

Follow the linear path through the cave and after crawling through multiple openings you will reach the very end of the cave in an area with Japanese graffiti on the wall. Read the letter under the graffiti to get the final key.

With all keys in hand go back to the locked gate and open it. Explore the abandoned house and examine the bloody mate in one of the rooms. Now leave the way you came from and go through another door that will take you to the training area. This is where you will find Spider Lily General.
