The Alters is a weird sci-fi experience that brings a Kojima like touch to its world. It is essentially a base building simulator but with unique mechanics that make life pretty hard sometimes.
For example, there is a day and night cycle which limits your ability to explore and gather resources. However, modders have created a fix for this problem. There is now a mod available to will help you make the days longer.
Basically, the mod makes time flow slower in The Alters. The claim is that the mod makes time x1.5 slower than vanilla x2 or x3.
Making the Days Longer / Slowing Down Time in The Alters
For this to work you need to head over to Nexus Mods, create a free account and down the Longer Days mod.
- Unzip archive content to your game root folder. If you are doing everything right, you will copy three files (000_LongerDaysxY_P) to ~mods.
- Install only one version.
- Should work for gamepass as well, but might require altering path.
If you want to uninstall the mod at any point, just remove three 000_LongerDaysxY_P files in ~mods and the days will no longer be extended.
With Longer Days you can explore more, gather more resources, and a lot more than what the game allows you to do in one day.
