The tactical RPG Menace recently launched in early access, and many players have been wondering how to actually grab cargo in the game.

This simple mechanic isn’t as intuitive as it may initially appear, and the fact that cargo is so limited throughout Menace means that you won’t have too many chances to grab it.

In MENACE, certain missions include cargo pickup objectives. These cargo items are mission objectives rather than simple loot. They often appear on the battlefield when the mission begins or after you complete a required trigger step within that mission.

Cargo objectives are usually tied to mission success conditions. You might need to:

  • locate a cargo object
  • pick it up with a unit
  • move it to a drop-off zone to complete that portion of the mission

If cargo pickup is part of the mission, the mission description will usually mention it at the start.

How to Pick Up Cargo

Once you locate cargo during a mission, simply have your infantry unit move over it to pick it up. Note that the cargo is picked up automatically, and you only need to worry about positioning your soldiers.

Keep in mind that standing next to the cargo or trying to move your vehicle over it won’t quite do the trick. Therefore, be very careful when the opportunity to grab cargo does appear.

Identifying Cargo

In Menace, cargo is clearly marked with an icon on the map. However, the map may not always be reliable due to the early access state of the game.

Expect a few hiccups here and there, and be sure to follow the developers’ plans for updates on Menace and its evolution.
