The Indian Dealer achievement in Schedule 1 is unlocked after you successfully pickpocket someone in the game. The task is simple, and it is done in a matter of seconds.
There is a catch though, you can’t pickpocket just anyone. You need to pickpocket someone who is your customer. First, you must sell them your product and then take it back by pickpocketing.
Pickpocket in Schedule 1
To pickpocket in Schedule 1 you need to press the crouch button which is CTRL default. Approach the target from behind and press E to pickpocket when the prompt appears.
Pressing E will trigger a mini-game that you need must win to successfully pickpocket. An arrow will start moving along a bar with green lines on it. Your goal is to stop the arrow on the green lines.
If you manage to pull it off, the pickpocket process is complete. But what happens if you fail? Well, you will lose the customer, and they will call the cops who’ll immediately show up.
It goes without saying that you should never do this to your regular customers, nor you should attempt a pickpocket on your high spending customers aka whales.
Tip: If the target has several items, repeat the mini-game to unlock and steal more.
Who to Target for Pickpocketing
Target new customers or customer considered to be somewhat of a cheapskate.
Select NPCs who remain stationary or walk away since this reduces the likelihood of raising suspicion.
How Pickpocketing Works in Schedule 1
When you pickpocket:
- The target’s inventory slots appear on your screen with some items inaccessible because of lock icons.
- A small arrow moves back and forth under a colored bar with red and green sections.
- Your objective should be to hit the Spacebar at the precise moment when the arrow reaches the green section.
- When you stop the arrow in the green section you will gain access to the item above it which you can drag into your inventory without detection.
- When you stop the arrow in the red section the target will either call the police or attack you.
What Happens on Failure
If you miss the green zone while playing the pickpocket mini-game, the victim notify the police, attack you, or escape. A phone emoji with a “snitch meter” symbol fills as investigations begins and patrols come shortly after.
If you get caught, the best strategy is rushing to your safe house, and you can’t be seen entering the area. You can also evade detection by hiding in a dumpster, since officers do not usually check them.
If you turn on “Sneaky,” you get two helpful perks at once. First, it makes cops notice you a bit slower, and second, it stretches the green success area in the pickpocket game. Put these together, and you boost your chances a lot.
How to Unlock the “Indian Dealer” Achievement

To earn the Indian Dealer trophy, sell an item to a customer, then steal it back straight away before they walk away. If you pull that off without alerting the cops, the achievement will pop up.
