Kuji Kiri is a new rhythm you can play in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Through this game you can relive Naoe’s memories with her father and grandmother.

You’ll drift down memory lane and complete minor side quests for story bits and of course, rewards.

However, it is not a simple game to play because it is less visual and more about learning sound patterns.

With each musical cue you press the right button but slowly the buttons fade away so you can’t see them.

You need to keep the music rhythm going without being able to see the button prompts.

How to Play Kuji Kiri in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

My technique for this game is to close my eyes and basically… feel the rhythm. You have to be in sync with the tune and the best way to do that is rely less on visual cues and more on timing of each cue.

What Happens if You Get it Wrong?

Nothing really happens if you get it wrong. If you see the video above of me playing Kuji Kiri you’ll notice that at one point I did get it wrong.

When you miss a note, the buttons will become visible again and you’ll have to follow them again. And as you do, they’ll disappear, leaving you at the mercy of your instincts.
