Researching schematics and then crafting the best equipment isn’t the only thing that’ll help you survive in Dune Awakening. The equipment and vehicles you build in the game will often break down. What does that mean? It means you have repair equipment and vehicles in Dune Awakening.
All types of repairs are done through a machine called Repair Station. You first need to research and then construct the Repair Station in Dune Awakening.
How to Research the Repair Station
The Repair Station isn’t available until you research a sub-fief in the game. After that you can find the Repair Station Schematic under the Construction tab. It’ll cost you three intel points to complete the research of its schematic.
The repair process is part of the game’s natural progression though. After the Vermillius Gap in Dune Awakening you’ll get a quest that’ll walk you through the Research and Repairing mechanics.

How To Construct The Repair Station
Now that you have completed the Research process, the next step is to actually Construct the Repair Station. For that we need the Construction Tool. The repair station needs 40x Iron Ingots.
To get Iron Ingots you need to mine Iron Ore.
Head north from your Hagga Basin South starting area to the Western or Eastern Vermillius Gap regions. You should be able to spot the iron ore deposits you require by looking for granite colored nodes that have a dark silver shine.
Make sure to use at least a Cutteray Mk1 to mine iron ore or else you won’t get any. Any Cutteray will do, but you’ll get more with higher tiered tools such as a Cutteray Mk2. You can also find iron ore infrequently in chests, on scavenger corpses, or purchase them from vendors at trade posts.
Repairing Weapons, Armor, and Tools
Once built, interact with the Repair Station to slot in a damaged item along with its crafting materials. The station restores durability but reduces the item’s maximum durability over time. Only items whose blueprints you’ve researched can be repaired here.
Repairing Vehicles

Vehicles sustain damage in combat or through storms as well as through use. To fix them, you can use a Welding Torch and Welding Wire made at a Fabricator. Equip the torch, switch to Repair mode (right-click), and use left-click for each damaged part. The amount of wire consumed varies with the level of damage.
While field repairs get the vehicle operational again, they don’t provide a complete max durability repair. To return parts to full functionality, field dismantle and fix them at the Repair Station located at base.
Use higher-tier welding torches to minimize wire consumption while maintaining excess stocks. Always provide shelter for your vehicles or utilize a Vehicle Backup Tool to mitigate decay.
