Assassin’s Creed Shadows presents 4 romance options for Naoe. Katsuhime is the second character Naoe can romance in AC Shadows. She is a Teppo wielder, and you have to recruit her to take down a key member of the Shinbakufu.
Not only can Naoe romance Katsuhime, but also make her a part of the team that she builds as the game progresses to make Japan a better place.

Katsuhime Romance Dialogue Choices
Select the following dialogue choices in each quest for romance Katsuhime:
- Showdown in Sakamoto: “I like your Teppo.”
- Letter from Katsuhime: “It offers time with me.”
- The Tale of Genin: “I do enjoy your company.”
- The Diary of Lady Rokkaku (recruitment mission): “Yes, join us.”
- The Jounin Pillow Book 1: “Let’s find out.”
- The Jounin Pillow Book 2: “Yes. Forever.”
Showdown in Sakamoto
You will meet Katsuhime for the first time during Showdown in Sakamoto. It is a serious mission, and you don’t get enough time to flirt or romance, but the game is generous enough to give some time for it. When you are standing outside the castle you are about to sneak into, say, “I like your teppo” to romance Katsuhime.
Letter from Katsuhime
This is where things start to get going between the two. Letter from Katsuhime is a small and sweet quest that is about meeting her on the hill and asking her if she would like to join you on your cause. Select “It offers more time with me” for romance when she asks what’s in it for her. Your answer impresses Katsuhime, and you both leave for The Tale of Genin with love in the air.
The Tale of Genin
This quest is about joining Katsuhime in Wakasa and looking for her lost friends that she has protected for the last nine years. During the search, Katsuhime shares the awful plans the Demon of Owari had made for her friends. Select “I do enjoy your company” for romance when offering her help.
The Diary of Lady Rokkaku
This mission doesn’t come with any direct romance dialogue, but it offers you a chance to recruit Katsuhime.
Go to the castle, where you will find a note left for you by Katsuhime, explaining that she had to leave without you. Katsuhime is then captured by some enemies, and Naoe gets to save her. Once you have done the needful, select “Yes, join us” to recruit Katsuhime for your cause.
The Jounin Pillow Book
This is the quest where the romance between Katsuhime and Naoe reaches its peak. After you meet Katsuhime in Wakasa, head down to the water and select the dialogue option “Let’s find out” for romance.
This selection loads a steamy romantic scene between Naoe and Katsuhime while they make out on the ground. Once the scene ends, Katsuhime says that she wants to be with Naoe forever; select “Yes, Forever” to keep on romancing Katsuhime.
Select the highlighted dialogue choices during each quest to romance Katsuhime. Other than Katsuhime, Naoe also romances Gennojo, Mayu, and Koshirou in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
