Koshiro is the last romance choice for Naoe in the game. Before Koshiro, Naoe will get to romance with Gennojo, Katsuhime, and Mayu. Naoe’s romance with Koshiro is short-lived and takes place during one quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Both Rin (for Yasuke) and Katsuhime (for Naoe) will watch your romances even before you actually meet them. Once you romance either of them, you cannot pursue any other romantic interests.
If Yasuke romances someone else after choosing Rin, she will leave him. However, Katsuhime is bugged at the time of this writing.
I suggest keeping her at friend status—she can reject you and quit even though you didn’t romance anyone as Naoe or Yasuke.
Koshiro Romance Requirements
The main quest “Brothers in Arms” leads Naoe and Koshiro to meet Commander Seiji who was Koshiro’s former military companion. You must defeat Seiji before making the decision to let him live. The decision to spare Seiji’s life during the battle becomes the starting point of the romance story with Koshiro.
The side quest “Genzaburo’s Soldiers” becomes available after completing “Brothers in Arms.” Eliminate all targets as required to get one step closer to romancing Koshiro.
Let an in-game season progress before continuing. Wait for Naoe to say she wants to go check on Koshiro in Kyokaiji Temple. This is where The Leaf Turns quest begins. Follow the dialogue choices listed below to finalize the relationship with Koshiro.

Meeting Quest: Brothers in Arms
The romance between Naoe and Koshiro kindles up after Koshiro gets injured fighting in the battle. He feels disheartened as he can’t fight anymore.
Naoe appears as someone he can lean on and share his sorrows with.
Koshiro Romance Dialogue Choices
Here are the different dialogue choices that you need to make if you want to romance Koshiro while playing as Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
- The Leaf Turns 1: “You’re more than a blade to me.”
- The Leaf Turns 2: “We have a special connection.”
- The Leaf Turns 3: “I’d like to spend more time with you.”
- The Leaf Turns 4: “You must follow your heart.”
- The Leaf Turns 5: “Like me.”
The Leaf Turns
After Koshiro is injured, go to his place and help him clean up his wounds and dress up.
You will find a goodbye letter that reveals he plans to leave as he is of no use to anyone because he lost all his abilities to fight after his injuries. Select “You’re more than a blade to me.”
Koshiro then heads to the lake to find an old box full of pieces that he used to improve his fighting skills.
Follow him there and select “We have a special connection” and then select “I’d like to spend more time with you.”
Naoe will spend some time with Koshiro under a tree where he evaluates his future as a wood carver, select “You must follow your heart.”
Naoe then meets Koshiro at Lover’s Lake and tells him what he must look forward to. Select “Like me.”
This is the last dialogue choice of the quest. Koshiro gives Naoe a hairpin that he carved specially for her as a token of love and affection.
