Loot items in Borderlands 4 is the lifeblood of the game where you get guns, grenades and many more. But the problem is with every loot drop the chance of clutter in the inventory increases.
Your inventory can become full of some unwanted items that include commons, underpowered mod or any gear that you don’t want anymore. Fortunately, you can mark these items as “Junk” and manage them easily.
What is Junk In Borderlands 4
Junk does not belong to any specific list of items, but these are simply the unwanted items that you no longer want to use. If I categorize these junk items here is a list of them
- Low Rarity items
- Outclassed weapons
- Some repeated gear
Where To Sell Junk Items and Guns In Borderlands 4
In Borderlands 4 you can mark any item as junk in two-way
- Mark at pickup: When you pick up an item or gun, you can tag at as a junk item.
- From Inventory: Open your inventory and, click on backpack, where you can see all available items. You can mark any item as Junk from here.
As you can’t keep all the items or gear i your backpack you need to either drop some junk items or sell them. Selling is a better option rather than dropping it because you get XP or some in game currency as well depending on the rarity of the junk item.
Find Vending Machine To sell Junk Items In Borderlands 4
Once you know your junk items, now the next step is where you sell them. To sell these Junk items find vending machines that are spread across the map with name of Ammo dump, Marcus Munitions, Zed’s meds and many more.
There are approximately 149 vending machines where you can sell the junk items, normally near the boss arena you’ll find one easily.
Interact with the vending machine and open the inventory to sell items.
After marking the item as Junk now just press Q to sell the marked item. Make sure to double-check before selling, I have lost my precious gun by selecting sell all junk items, so be cautious!
Quick Tip: You can mark some items as your favorite, this will save you from accidentally selling any item especially any ammo.
You can also increase the storage capacity of your backpack by SDU (storage deck upgrades) or even place some legendary items in the Bank Of Kairos instead of selling them in Borderlands 4.
