Ever since Doom made a come back I loved every minute of it but there is one thing I really need the developers to fix; it is those damn Opening Splash Screens. Unfortunately they have returned in Doom The Dark Ages as well.
It is a weird minute long side show that is often painful to sit through. But the same method that worked to stop them, works this time around too.
All you need is a simple command.
How to Skip Opening Screen in Doom The Dark Ages
Go to your Steam library and right click on Doom The Dark Ages. The next step is to go to Properties and in the General Tab you will see the Steam Launch Options box.
Copy Paste the following code in the box;
- +com_skipIntroVideo 1
Save and exit.
Launch the game now and experience the freedom of playing Doom The Dark Ages without the opening video.
