In my review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows I pointed out how the building mechanic is the best side activity. It is relaxing, and you end up spending a lot of hide building and customizing your hideout.
To do that you need resources and you can either find resources individually or smuggle a bundle usually found in enemy camps, castles, temples, and settlements. Smuggling bundled resources is far better because you end up getting more with less effort.
Resources are smuggled through Scouts so you first need to fill up your available Scout slots if you want to smuggle more resources.
How to Smuggle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To fill up your smuggler slots you can either go to the Kakurega in any town and spend 200 MON per slot to refill all three Scouts, or you can change the season. Season are usually changed automatically but if the season meter is full you can hold down the N on your Keyboard or right D-pad button to switch it manually.
When you have enough Scouts you can go to Low or High Wealth locations to look for resources and loot to smuggle for your hideout.
Now let’s go to an area and try to smuggle resources:
Hold Y on Xbox or Square button when prompted near the resources. You usually need 2 Scouts to smuggle one crate of resources so if there are multiple crates at one location, you need to refill the Scouts and come back to smuggle the second resource crate.
If the option to smuggle resources is grayed out then you don’t have enough Scouts to tag the resources.
