Crimson Desert is an open-world RPG with deep gameplay mechanics. One of the mechanics in the game is stealing, for which you will first have to get your hands on a mask. There are two ways to get the mask: one is to raid bandit camps, and the second is to complete the Jeffery bounty. Here is how you can steal items and goods in Crimson Desert.

How Stealing Works in Crimson Desert?

The first way to get a mask would be to raid certain bandit camps. Go to the Bandit camps across the continent of Pywel and hunt brutes. After taking them down,  loot their corpses for a chance to get the mask.

Complete the Jeffrey bounty in Crimson Desert to get the mask.

For the second method, head to the Henrand Guard Captain in Chapter 2, located west of Hernand Castles. Speak to the NPC at the bounty board to grab the Bounty Notice – Jeffrey paper. After that, hold L1 to examine the Bounty Notice – Jeffrey paper to begin the quest.

How to Complete Jeffrey Bounty?

Take a look at your map to see a giant white sigil of Henrand that indicates the area. Go to him (wearing a sleeveless top and a hood) and tackle him. Beat him into submission so you can tie him up. Carry him to where you started the bounty, and you will get the Mask as your reward.

How to Steal?

Once you have the mask equipped, walk to any storehouse and focus on the equipment. Press the A key to steal it when you get the prompt.

However, there’s a hefty price to pay for stealing. Upon stealing an item, the locals around the area will begin searching for you. You will have to make your escape from the marked area ( marked with a red outline in-game and on the HUD) before anyone sees you.

If you somehow pull that off, a bounty will be placed on your head. If it’s high enough, even the guards will begin to chase you down. Getting caught can get you thrown in jail, and you will be set free once you have served your sentence. This will also clear all the bounties attached to you. The only thing you lose in prison is your time, the mask, and the stolen item.
