How to Switch Characters in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

In Dynasty Warrior Origins, changing characters is only possible during Battle Replay records when you take a Companion with you on a fight.

This can be found in the Pre-Battle Strategy screen and generally simply available during story quests. To begin with, choose your partner and start fighting.

During battle, a bar appears under your Companion ‘s name which fills with energy to make it eventually match the amount that Mussou Meter fills up under your own name.

You will need to do things like dodge the hit, stagger hits and take out enemy officers to increase this meter. As soon as this bar fills up, hold down an “options” button on the Controller and then finally press “C” (for Character change) on the keyboard temporarily to change characters.

The Companions are characters that are incredibly strong, which can break through enemy defenses with ease and kill enemy officers at will.

However, you can only use Companions for a short period of time in a battle. The Companion ‘s replacement meter will slowly deplete even slower when you are in the Rage mode.

When the replacement meter goes to zero, Companion will release his Ultimate Mussou Skill, which is a powerful AoE damaging attack with wide range for everyone caught within its area of effect.

How to Choose Any Companion

In the Battle Replay system, you can choose any Partner you like; however, some Partners are available in the main story Ryzen and some are not. And once you select a faction, only Companions from that faction are available.
