Jaguars are really hard to catch and tame in Soulmask. They are fast and dangerous but with the right tools you can trap them and have your own Panther in the base camp.
First, you need to find the Jaguars cubs and then you need to unlock the Habit Analysis mask repair node. This is done through the level 20 in Awareness Strength and three Green Crystals.
Make sure Awareness Strength is at least level 20. This is necessary for tracking animals.
Press Y and open the Mask Node repair menu. Find the Habit Analysis under the core functional module and unlock it.
Once that is done you need to head into the jungle on the western section of the starter isle. Press Q to trigger the Life Perception and look for blue highlighted tracks that lead to the cubs.
Press CTRL to crouch so you don’t spook the Panthers away. Keep following the tracks while making too much noise. It is the female jaguars that usually lead back to the cubs.
How to Tame Jaguars
You need a medium trap to capture the Jaguar. Use meat or fish as bait for the trap. Once you have a Jaguar cub but to ride it you need to craft a panther saddle:
- 20 x Leather
- 10 x Leather Ropes
- 10 x Fine Cotton
- 5 x Bronze Ingots
Remember you cannot ride it until the cub is grown. You need capture the cub and take it back to the camp. Feed it, raise it, until you can ride it.
