Furfrou is one of the few Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Z-A that can be fully customised by trimming it. With the right story progress and the right Pokémon moves, you will be able to unlock all of its forms, including the Pharoh and Kabuki ones.
There are a total of nine trimming styles that you unlock by teaching Scyther (NPC) some moves like slash, razor leaf, and psycho cut. So, before you start the side mission “Becoming a Furfrou Trimmer”, make sure you have:
- Reach Rank D and be able to access the Jaune District along with its nearby Wild Zones
- Have Pokémon that can use Slash, Razor Leaf and Psycho Cut
Furfrou Location in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Fast travel to Jaune sector 10, where you will get a Furfrou in the wild zone 11. Go to the Saison Canal; you must be at level 32 to enter the area.
Near the canal, there is a Furfrou spawn location. This is the most common and earliest location to find Furfrou at any time of day.
You can also get other rare (Alpha) Furfrou in different zones. Here’s a list of all the Furfrou locations in Pokémon Legends Z-A.

Once you get any Furfrou, you can trim their fur into different styles by completing the side missions 47, 62 and 87.
How To Unlock All Furfrou Forms in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Now, the next thing is, how can you unlock all of its forms in Pokémon Legends Z-A? Go to Janue Sectro 10 and head to the marker as indicated in the image.
Head there and talk to the NPC character Mirte, who wants to open a Furfrou salon along with her Scyther Someda. However, she wants her Pokémon to learn some moves before she can start trimming the Furfrou to unlock different forms.
As a result of this interaction, you will complete three side missions; each side mission completion will unlock three forms of Furfrou in Pokémon Legends Z-A.
Side Mission 47 — Becoming a Furfrou Trimmer
The first side mission is you use Slash on the substitute doll right in front of you so that Scyther can learn it.
To do so, select Feraligator in your current party and use the slash ability against the substitute doll.
Once you have used slash against it and Scyther will master it, and she will become a Fufrou Trimmer. This will also unlock the salon along with the first three forms of heart, star, and diamond.
Side Mission 62 — Becoming a Pro Furfrou Trimmer
Then talk to her again to start the next side mission, “Becoming a Pro Furfrou Trimmer“. To complete the side mission, show them the technique of Razor Leaf by using Leafeon Pokémon and using the Razor ability on the substitute doll.
Completing the second side mission will have you Debutante, Matron, and Dandy forms.
Side Mission 87 — Becoming a Peerless Furfrou Trimmer
Now, the last three forms of Furfrou can be unlocked by using Psycho Cut by Aegislash against the substitute doll.
On successive attempts, you will get La Reine, Kabuki, and Pharaoh trims
And that’s how completing these three side missions will unlock all 9 forms of the Furfrou in Pokémon Legends Z-A.
