How to Unlock Vehicle Blueprints in Starsand Island
As the game is currently in early access, more vehicles are expected in the future. For now, you can unlock the majority of the vehicles from Neona after you meet her by stopping by her shop, G-Power Bike.
In the G-Power Bike store, you can buy vehicles that are ready to ride as soon as you purchase them. Aside from that, you can also buy several vehicle blueprints from the shop and later build them yourself. This method can be cheaper, at the cost of requiring more time and effort to ride because you will have to gather the materials for crafting and put everything together.
Early game, you should get the Reindeer Blueprint for 29,800 instead of the already built Reindeer for 85,000. Cheapest option with decent utility. Otherwise, you can rent vehicles like groups of scooters you find on the sides of streets in town.
How to Unlock Vehicles from Crafter Quests
You can get two simple vehicles, a skateboard, and Verdant Breeze rollerblades from the crafter main quests. Zerina will have you make a skateboard almost immediately, which you get to keep after completing the quest. Not really fast, but who doesn’t like free stuff?
After that, you will also get your hands on the blueprint for the Verdant Breeze rollerblades shortly after meeting Neona, which is another part of the crafter quests. Not what you are looking for, but better than having no vehicle.
How to Use Mounts as Vehicles in Starsand Island
After picking up ranching, you will also get the option to use animals like alpacas as mounts to ride after they’re adults and you reach a certain level of happiness with them. Not faster compared to vehicles, but still, they are useful.
Go to the ranch and make your way into the pen with alpacas and ostriches, and rent one to ride as a mount. As this is a rental, you won’t have permanent ownership over it and will have to renew it, which doesn’t cost much to do.
I suggest you start your vehicle collecting journey by first starting the crafter main quests with Zerine.
