A lot of areas in Blue Prince are locked behind puzzles and riddles that the player must solve. Some of them are actually very important to the game’s progress and not just a way to explore side paths.
One such example is the Apple Orchard. It is a closed off area that you need to unlock with a four digit code to the padlock. The Apple Orchard is also the same area where you find Gas Valves that give to access to the Underground.
How to Enter Apple Orchard in Blue Prince
You will find a picture of the Orchard and its gate when you reach the Dark Room and succeed in maintaining or restoring the lighting. Check the photo under a magnifying glass to see the number written on the tree.
The number 11-28 appears in the photo. You can enter this number into the gate lock located near your tent to receive a message about the Apple Orchard being permanently accessible.
The gate unlock provides 20 additional steps for each day’s beginning which proves beneficial for your ongoing exploration of the house.
