Wizards don’t use flashlights to see in the dark; they use their wand and cast a spell. Just like any other magical world in Hogwarts Legacy, wizards/witches use their wands and cast Lumos to see in the dark.
How do you learn Lumos, as it is one of the essential spells in Hogwarts Legacy? I will try to guide you on how you can unlock the spell Lumos, along with the quest that will lead you to the spell in Hogwarts Legacy.
Along with Lumos, you will also be unlocking Protego and Stupefy during the battle with the statues.
How to Learn Lumos in Hogwarts Legacy
As part of the quest ” The Path Of Hogwarts“, once you have learned Revelio and escaped from the locker with Professor Fig, you will enter an area that is a bit dark.

Just stay close to Professor Fig and follow him until you see a glow in the dark. Interact with that magic, and you will be on a snowy, shining surface with a statue reflection under the floor in front of you.

You can see the reflection of the statue, but not the statue itself. This is where Revelio comes in handy for you. Cast the spell Revelio to see the statue above the floor.

Once the statue is revealed, when Professor Fig moves the reflection of the statue and the statue itself doesn’t match. That is the point where Professor Fig will teach you the Lumos spell in Hogwarts Legacy.

As part of the first Quest, The Path of Hogwarts, after learning Lumos, you will have to fight those statues. During that battle, you will be introduced to Protego.

Why is Stupefy Used in Hogwarts Legacy?
To make things easier for the wizard, you will unlock Stupefy spell.
Stupefy works when you have cast the spell Protego, and during that, when a blue bubble around you appears, you cast Stupefy to stun enemies as a counterattack. Stunned enemies take extra damage.

Why is Lumos Used in Hogwarts Legacy?
Lumos in Hogwarts Legacy is a utility spell which allows you can see in areas where light is not enough or, in some cases, you can solve certain puzzles like the one in “Path to Hogwarts”.

This is all about unlocking the Lumos spell in Hogwarts Legacy.
