If you are playing as the Atlantean civilization then you will get access to the Oracle Units as their Scouts. These units have the ability of a large line of sight, allowing them much further.

Oracles can then be converted into Hero Oracles that are far better, and more powerful then basic Oracle Units in Age of Mythology ReTold.

In this guide I will explain everything you need to know about Oracles, and how to upgrade them to Hero Oracles in AoM ReTold.

How to Get Oracle Units in AoM Retold

When you begin a game as the Atlanteans, you automatically receive three Oracle units.

To produce additional Oracles, you must interact with the Temple. The requirements to create an Oracle are:

  • Cost: 40 Food and 60 Gold.
  • Population: Ensure you have available population spots for the new unit.

Oracles are primarily used for scouting due to their exceptional line of sight, which increases gradually.

Moreover, Oracles passively generate favor (faith) for Atlanteans. You can build up to 10 Oracles simultaneously.

How to Upgrade Oracle Units in AoM Retold

Base Oracle units can be upgraded to Hero Oracles in Age of Mythology Retold. The transformation requirements are 40x Food, 60x Gold, and 1x Favor.

Hero Oracles have increased hitpoints (from 90 to 105). You also get better visibility range, which becomes twice as effective compared to standard Oracles.

Hero Oracles generate favor 25% faster than standard Oracles.

Lastly, Hero Oracles have greater damage to Myth units like Prometheans and the ability to collect Relics.

Note: Oracles are trained here for 75 food and 75 gold.

Tip: Build 1–2 Oracles early to sustain favor for myth units and god powers.
