Among the ton of things you can do in Where Winds Meet, healing is one of the most interesting gameplay aspects. Unlike other games, healing in Where Winds Meet is actually a fun side activity you can do.
The people in the open world who are sick can ask for your help, or you can find sick NPCs to help them feel better. This is done through a small mini-game and Wind Sense.
Healing in Where Winds Meet lets you help sick NPCs and players. It’s fun, rewarding, and useful for team play. You can earn experience points (EXP), coins, and items. Plus, it fits well with combat builds for raids and fights.
How to Unlock Healer Art / Skill in Where Winds Meet
The healer skill unlocks when you reach level 13. Go to Qinqhe, northwest from the start, near the Mercyheart Village. This is where you can get the Healer’s Calling side quest. Find it on your map or in Professions menu.
Talk to Mu Ji’an or a similar NPC. Collect specific herbs like Nightshade. Heal a poisoned traveler as part of the quest. This teaches you the basics.
After that, the Healer features unlock. You get access to prescriptions, the career menu, and full healing options.
How to Use Healers Art to treat the patient in Where Winds Meet
To use healer skill you need to find sick people, and they usually part of side quests. However, you can use Wind Sense to find them as well. They are also seen acting out their pain my grabbing their stomach or sitting down not being able to get up.
Also check requests in the Professions screen or Bounty Board (under Wandering Paths). Accept one, travel to them, and heal.
Once you have a sick NPC, press V on PC or R3 on controllers. Wind Sense will scan the target. Check requests in the Professions screen or Bounty Board (under Wandering Paths). Accept one, travel to them, and heal.
Now press F on PC or Triangle on PS to start the diagnosis. The game will then suggest a treatment plan which is usually Physiotherapy (for physical issues) or Qi Therapy (for internal ones).
To start healing, you’ll have to complete a mini-game. The mini-game is a turn based battle where your objective is to beat the sickness by reducing the affliction severity to 0 before vital energy runs out or before 10 rounds end. The difficulty of the mini-game depends on the region you’re in.
You get 3 Fiery Hearts (like mana) each round. They refresh. Use them to play Prescriptions (cards) from your hand. Cards can attack to damage the severity, shield to block, or buff for help.
Cards cost 0-3 Hearts. They go away after use. Your deck shuffles and redraws after each turn. Winning against the sickness means the patient is cured but losing can mean either he won’t get better or die on the spot.
Winning will usually get you rewards like Career Notebooks, Coins, Memory Fragments, Exploration points etc.
