Marvel’s Wolverine is the biggest blockbuster from first-party studios headed to the PS5 later this year. Launching on September 15, the title has already generated quite a lot of excitement, especially due to Insomniac Games’ reputation when it comes to superhero titles.
In fact, many fans are already willing to pre-order the game based on the footage the team has shown so far. Fans are now asking Insomniac Games to share information regarding pre-orders, but the studio has confirmed that pre-orders won’t be available until more gameplay is released.

Insomniac Games previously confirmed that more information regarding Marvel’s Wolverine would arrive during Spring 2026. With upcoming events like Summer Game Fest and another potential PlayStation State of Play expected soon, the developer likely has another gameplay video or trailer planned for audiences in the coming months.
Since Spring is already underway, fans are now more excited than ever and are also looking forward to pre-ordering Marvel’s Wolverine. According to the studio on Twitter, however, the team intends to show more of the game to the fans before allowing them the option to pre-order.
For context, Insomniac Games previously opened up pre-orders for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in June before launching the game in October of 2023. If this trend holds, the studio will likely allow fans to pre-purchase its next big superhero title at some point in May or June.
Of course, with the threat of GTA 6 also on the horizon, it’s entirely possible that the studio will accelerate its marketing plans. Rockstar Games is expected to kick off its own marketing in the coming months, so it would not be surprising to see the PlayStation developer attempting to try and spend some time in the limelight before GTA 6 takes over.
Anyhow, fans will be glad to know that the team is confident enough in its work to showcase it further before opening pre-orders for the masses.
