How to Avoid Food Poisoning in KCD2
Before eating most foods from your inventory, you should check their freshness; represented by the heart icon. For example:
- Orange (50-25%): Risky but may not cause immediate poisoning.
- Red (<25%): High chance of severe poisoning
Spoiled food triggers a skull icon next to your health bar, signaling gradual damage. Avoid hoarding perishables / foods that can go bad. It is best to eat dry food before going on an expedition.
Use more fresh and dry food items in your diet because they won’t go so food. Drying extends the shelf life but won’t revive spoiled food.
In additional to food poisoning, fever is also issue which you can treat with the fever tonic.
