Rosa’s Book is a small side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 that is essential to complete if you intend to romance Lady Rosa or earn the Tales of Kuttenberg trophy/achievement. This task starts during the Taking French Leave main quest and is quite simple. Here is a complete walkthrough of Rosa’s Book quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance II.
Rosa’s Book Walkthrough
As stated, the “Rosa’s Book” task or side quest starts automatically during the “Taking French Leave” main quest. During the quest, you’ll talk to Lady Rosa Ruthard. Agree to bring her the book in Maleshov Fortress to start the side quest. You can choose the following dialogue choices in the same order to get the side quest:
- A wayside shrine?
- A clever solution
- There must be a catch to it
- Come with me!
- You wouldn’t be a burden
- I’m listening
- I’ll bring the book, fear not!
Important Note: You can’t delay this task, as it has to be completed during the “Taking French Leave” main quest. If you leave the Maleshov Fortress without the book, the quest will fail, and you won’t be able to romance Lady Rosa.
How to get Rosa’s Book in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?
Once you have agreed to Lady Rosa to bring back her book, play the main quest until you get to the “Find Hans Capon” objective inside Maleshov Fortress. To get Rosa’s Book, go downstairs and enter the hut in the southwest corner, marked in the image below. Inside the hut, you’ll find Cook Drahomira, choke her, and loot the keys she has, but you actually need the “Maleshov tower key“.
Go to the tower, sneak up the wooden stairs, and keep sneaking along the wall to get to the door. Open the door using the “Maleshov tower key”. Once inside, go upstairs, and there will be two guards arguing with a woman(Lady Ofka). Let them finish their conversation, and in the meantime, hide in the hallway downstairs. The guards will walk down and sit in the backroom. You can go upstairs without being noticed, and enter the room to the left where the woman is sitting.
Choke Lady Ofka, and collect the “A Book of Humourous Anecdotes” book by the window. This is the book that you need to bring back to Lady Rosa.
Once the main quest is complete, meet with Lady Rosa at the Ruthard’s Palace in Kuttenberg. Give her the book, and during the conversation agree to finish the book with her. Follow the dialogue options given below:
- About that book you wanted…
- I perused it
- The author really isn’t holding back
- I would like that
- My pleasure
Once you agree, take her to the room upstairs and decide how you want to finish the book.
How to Finish Lady Rosa’s Book?
Any dialogue option you choose after this point will lead to the completion of the book. After that, interact with the book, browse through its pages, and talk to Lady Rosa. Choose the following dialogues, in the same order:
- If only there were more such books
- It’s pretty, really
- I’d like to get to know you better sometime
This will conclude the Rosa’s Book quest and you’ll also earn the Tales of Kuttenberg trophy or achievement.
