How to Save Game in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?
Given the game relies heavily on realistic game mechanics, saving your progress isn’t as straightforward as other RPGs. There are four main ways you can save your game progress in KCD2.
- Sleep.
- When you start a new mission or are in the middle of an important moment in the main story.
- Consuming Saviour Schnapps to save game from the main menu.
- Saving and quitting.
As for where the saved files are located? You’ll find them in the C drive. Back to the topic at hand, the best way to save your progress for free or without closing the game is to sleep. As long as you have access to a bed to sleep in, you can save your game progress in KCD2.
If you are done for the day and want to close the game after saving, then just go to the main menu and select the save and quit option. On top of that, this does not require you to use Saviour Schnapps, and you’ll start the game at the same instance where you left off.
Sleeping advances the time, and the “save and quit” option requires you to close the game. Time is an important game mechanic, as advancing time in the game can lead to you missing out on quests. In case you don’t want to pass the time and keep on playing, then you can save game in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 from the main menu, but it requires you to have Saviour Schnapps. This a rare item, which can be bought from merchants or can be crafted using Alchemy.
How to Craft Saviour Schnapps?
In order to craft Saviour Schnapps, you first need its recipe. You must be wondering, how to get the Saviour Schnapps recipe on KCD2? For that, you need to continue to the main story until you get your freedom from Troskowitz, and the recipe will automatically be added to your inventory. Just go to an Alchemy bench, and craft Saviour Schnapps, provided you have the ingredients.
The following ingredients are required to make Saviour Schnapps, and these are very easy to acquire. You can either buy them from an alchemy shop or they can be found easily while exploring.
- 1x Nettle
- 2x Belladonna
- Wine ( already available at the Alchemy Bench)
