Compared to Drowner’s and Vidlak treasure maps, Tunnel in the Cliffs map is different. Unlike the typical maps you can haul out and figure out at your leisure, this one is permanently carved into a cave wall in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 — so if you want a copy, you have to take a screenshot.
You can find this map at the Tunnel in the Cliffs region in southern Apollonia, where bandits were apparently having a bloody standoff.
Within the tunnel, you’ll meet a skeleton clenching a dagger as its last act was apparently marking the map on the wall.
It’s a little difficult to pick out / (and it might need to have more going on around it), but it will lead you to some loot if you follow its directions.
Tunnel in the Cliff map treasure location
The Tunnel in the Cliffs treasure is located in “Hidden Treasure.” Yes, that is actually the name of a location in Kingdom Come Delivernace 2.
It’s located northwest of Apollonia, and (directly) north of Trosky Castle. You can refer to the image above for guidance.
Keep in mind you need to come from the south as the treasure is located on a cliff ledge. Coming in on the road from the north, the path ends at an impassable cliff.
However, the chest is locked with a medium-level lock and there seems to be no key. Approaching from the south, watch for a narrow trail in the woods that drops between two rocks.
Head directly to the edge of the cliff, turn left and the chest can be found further along the ledge.
Unlock the medium chest using your lockpicking skills—if you’re struggling, try sipping a Quickfinger Potion to improve your ability as a thief.
There’s a few valuable items like a Saxon hauberk, a mail coif and a bit of composite metal hat, but also some potent potions and 40 Groschen.
While the armor is in bad shape when you first obtain it, a quick trip to a blacksmith will repair these pieces into trusty gear.
