After testing Forza Horizon 5, Lies of P was the next game I ran on MSI Claw. While Forza struggled a bit, Lies of P ran comparatively better. It’s probably because the game doesn’t have vegetation and a waste open world. Lies of P is a semi-linear game that is pretty well optimized for consoles, PC, and handhelds.

I’ve already tested it on Asus ROG Ally and gave my best settings. You can give that a read too.

To play Lies of P at a decent frame rate on MSI Claw, you can either go with the Low Preset or a mix of Low and Medium Settings.

I will be recommending a mix of Low and Medium as the best graphics settings. Here’s what you should go for:

Recommended Lies of P Settings For MSI Claw

  • Max FPS Limit: 120
  • V Sync: Off
  • Visibility: Medium
  • Anti-Aliasing Quality: Medium
  • Post-processing Quality: Low
  • Texture Quality: Medium
  • Shadow Quality: Low
  • FSR: Balanced
  • Effect Quality: Medium
  • Vegetation Quality: Low
  • Shading Quality: Medium
  • Reflection Quality: Low
  • Volumetric Fog Quality: Low
  • Ambient Occlusion Quality: Medium
  • Anisotropy Filter Quality: Low
  • XeSS: Performance

Use the following graphics driver and BIOS version:

  • Graphics Driver: 31.0.101. 5445
  • MSI Claw BIOS: E1T41IMS.106

(At the time of this writing these are the latest versions available. At any time, always use the latest drivers and BIOS versions for the best results).

With these settings the game will maintain 55 to 60 FPS indoors and 40 to 50 FPS outdoors. If you want to push it beyond 60 FPS (70+) and have a much more stable frame rate situation, try going with the LOW preset.
