Marathon contains several contracts, and these contracts can span multiple parts. This is the case with the Equitable Distributions contract, which is divided into four parts.
The fourth part can be the trickiest of the bunch, and it essentially requires completing two objectives:
- Trace Commander location at terminal south of South Relay
- Acquire credentials from UESC Commander
To claim rewards for this contract, make sure to complete both objectives without dying. Keep in mind that extracting isn’t necessary so long as you don’t die between the two objectives.
Trace Commander Location At Terminal South of South Relay
To complete this part of the quest, you must locate said terminal. Begin by loading the Perimeter map, then head to the location shown in the image above.
Here, you should spot a building in front of an orange tunnel. Here, you can choose to either enter the building directly or go through the orange tunnel.
If you choose the former path, simply head to the roof and find a hatch that lets you in. On the other hand, entering the tunnel will lead you down a somewhat troublesome path.
Be prepared to blow up trip mines and duck under trip wires in the tunnel. Make sure to avoid these hazards since getting hit by the trip wire’s lasers can temporarily limit your ability cooldown speeds.
Making your way through the tunnel and climbing up should lead you to the terminal, which is to the left and will be marked on your HUD at this point.
Take care of any enemies and mines you find in the terminal room and interact with the terminal to locate the commander. Once done, this will kick off a four-minute timer, after which the Commander will spawn at a distant location 640 meters away.
Acquire Credentials From UESC Commander
Once the timer is initiated, begin to make your way to the Commander’s location at North Relay. Use the same tunnel to exit the building and head to the location marked on your HUD.
Note that if you reach this location before the timer runs out, you must wait for the Commander to spawn. It’s a good idea to use any extra time you have left for positioning and strategizing against the boss, since he may pose an unexpected challenge.
Also, keep in mind that the Commander will spawn in with allies of his own. The Commander himself has plenty of health, so do your best to be careful with the encounter. Once he is down, you can simply grab his credentials to complete the contract.
This brings the priority contract to an end, and you can simply claim your rewards after finishing the Equitable Distributions contract.
