Marvel Cosmic Invasion: How to Unlock All 4 Characters

The wait is over as Marvel Cosmic Invasion has been released for both PC and consoles. There are a lot of characters that can accompany you during your journey, some of which are unlocked by default and some of which require a little grind to unlock.

There are a total of 15 characters, and by default, you get 11 characters for free and only 4 need unlocking.

Unlock All Characters in Marvel Cosmic Invasion

First, let’s take a look at some characters that are unlocked by default:

1. Captain America
2. Nova (Richard Ryder)
3. Storm
4. Wolverine
5. Spider-Man
6. Beta Ray Bill
7. Black Panther
8. Cosmic Ghost Rider (Frank Castle)
9. Iron Man
10. Rocket Raccoon
11. She-Hulk

Aside from these, there are a total of 4 characters that you will unlock throughout your Marvel Cosmic Invasion journey.

How to unlock Phoenix (Jean Grey) in Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Head into the campaign mode and select the mission Blue Area of the Moon.

As part of the mission, you will face the Annihilus-Possessed Phoenix boss. Defeat the possessed Phoenix boss, and a cutscene will appear that says”

“Such Power, such rage. I’m in control now”.

Right after the cutscene, Jean Grey, aka Phoenix, joins your roster.

How to unlock Venom in Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Play the mission DESTROMUNDO, where Venom appears as the final boss. Beat him and finish the mission, enabling you to play Venom.

“Come on, Venom. Work with us!”
“We swore to protect the innocent.”

How to unlock Phyla-vell in Marvel Cosmic Incavsion

Phyla-Vell is a playable character in the tutorial mission but not in the game. To unlock her, start the campaign mission Hala and defeat her as the final boss.

Completing the mission will unlock Phyla-Vell.

How to unlock Silver Surfer in Marvel Cosmic Invasion

To unlock the shiniest hero of all, start the mission Fort Galactus.

An interesting thing is that you have to fight him three times. After the third encounter and defeating him, he will be added to your roster.

Keep in mind that Silver Surfer and Phyla-Vell are late-game characters, and you won’t be unlocking them any time soon. As the campaign allows players to skip certain levels to follow the critical path, you might miss out on Venom and Silver Surfer, so keep an eye out for that as well.

Also, the default characters will be with you from day 1, meaning they can start earning levels from the very start. But if you unlock a new character and decide to use it, then get ready to level it up from scratch.

If you progress through the game with the default characters, you will also easily unlock these characters.
