Menace allows you to customize vehicles through weapon and accessory mods to your liking, but getting to grips with the system can be tricky at first.
Because RNG also plays a major role in Menace, mods are randomly generated in the game.
Vehicles in Menace are powerful assets on the battlefield. Properly modified vehicles can provide fire support, transport infantry, and increase your tactical options in combat. However, the game does not explain the system well, and vehicle mods are randomly generated based on procedural loot mechanics.
Where to Get Vehicle Mods
For mods, you want to head over to the black market and find different weapons and accessories. These are all randomly generated, so keep checking back between missions for the best mods.
Also, keep in mind that finishing missions will let you earn different mods, and you guessed it, these are all random. However, they do show a general relation to the completed mission.
As such, your parts will likely be similar in one way or another to the type of mission you just beat.
How to Prepare a Vehicle for Modifications
Before you begin with mods, make sure to have a pilot for your vehicle. For those without a Pilot, simply buy a Pilot Dossier from the back market and add the vehicles in need of mods to the Pilot’s loadout.
Afterwards, navigate to the Pilot’s inventory management. Here, you have two large slots for the vehicle’s weapons and two smaller slots for accessories.
Simply select the weapons and accessories you want and jump into a mission.
How Vehicle Repair Works
As for repairing, make use of the ship’s OCI menu. Before you can begin, you need to build a repair bay and place it in one of the OCI slots.
Once you gain access to a repair bay, vehicles in Menace can be repaired between missions. It should be noted that this process can be quite tedious.
Repairing restores 30% of your vehicle’s HP at once, but it only removes one issue at a time. This means that you might go through consecutive repairs between multiple missions, depending on the condition of your ship.
