How to Enable Cheats in Mount and Blade 2

Open File Explorer and navigate to Documents > Mount and Blade II Bannerlord and find the file named engine_config.txt.

Before you move forward, make a backup of engine_config.txt by copying it to another folder. Open the original engine_config.txt using a text editor like Notepad and search for the line that says cheat_mode = 0 and change it to cheat_mode = 1.

Save the changes and close the text editor.

Start Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord. You should now be able to use cheats.

To use console commands, press Alt + ~ (tilde) while in-game to bring up the developer console where you can enter various cheat commands.

How to Add Items and Units in Mount and Blade 2

To start adding items and units in Mount and Blade 2 you need to enable cheats mode first. Once that is done, go to your inventory where you can see a list of items in the game to your left side of the screen.

Click on the small arrow of the item you want, and it’ll be shifted to your inventory.

On the other hand, if you open the party screen when cheats are enabled it will display a list of all military units in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord.
