The Mycopunk save files on PC are stored locally (in addition to being backed up via Steam Cloud), which means you can manually back them up or transfer them if needed. Mycopunk is in early access to making sure your save files are protected is a must because the risk of losing data is real with this one.
Mycopunk Save File Location on PC
Mycopunk save file is located at the following location on your PC:
Client | Save File Location |
---|---|
Steam | C:\Users\[Windows Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Pigeons at Play\Mycopunk |
Inside that folder, you’ll find a profiles
directory containing PlayerData.saxon
, along with several backup files. To save your progress, it’s simplest to back up the entire Mycopunk folder.
For Linux users using Proton, the save files are located in your Steam compatibility prefix, typically at:
- ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3247750/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/LocalLow/Pigeons at Play/Mycopunk
Here, you’ll find the same .saxon
save files.
The Early Access status of Mycopunk allows you to save your progress locally which protects against losing data during updates. Data can also be transferred to a different machine, but be sure not to change anything until all backups are made.
For Mycopunk, player progress, unlocks, and settings are saved in profiles/PlayerData.saxon. These files getting regularly backed up ensures keeping your restorables at hand.
