GTA 6 continues to be the center of attention, even with the little information Rockstar has officially offered for fans. Recent rumors suggested that the team would skip a physical launch to avoid leaking the game, something that attracted the interest of practically everyone in the industry.
A popular insider also joined the conversation, noting that it makes sense for Rockstar to do all it can to avoid leaks. Later, he shared stories about the extent to which fans have previously gone while trying to secure leaks related to Rockstar’s titles.

According to Reece Reilly or Kiwi Talz on Twitter, ‘crazy Rockstar fans’ would not stop at anything to secure GTA 6 leaks. He is 100% confident that many people would be willing to break into stores to try and secure a physical copy to spread leaks all over the internet.
The insider then discussed stories he heard from Rockstar developers in the past. He recalled how developers faced situations where people tried to fake IDs to enter the studio’s buildings. Similarly, some people even attempted to use drones to get the tiniest of glimpses of GTA 6.
The fact that people flew drones close to Rockstar’s buildings for leaks is quite ironic since it sounds like something one would encounter in a Grand Theft Auto mission itself. Regardless, the insider noted that ‘nutty fans’ tried their hardest to enter Rockstar’s buildings in the past, often resorting to creative yet disturbing means in doing so.
Kiwi Talkz makes the point that Rockstar can avoid leaks entirely by pursuing a digital-only launch as rumors suggest.
The industry has increasingly shifted toward digital libraries, and things have progressed to a point where physical media is rapidly losing to digital content. As such, a digital-only launch could just work out in the studio’s favor, especially when considering a major property like Grand Theft Auto.
