Nintendo and the Pokemon Company launched Pokemon Trading Cards (TCG) Pocket and according to the latest numbers, it is proving to be a massive success.
According to an estimate from analytics firm Appmagic, since launch the game has made $12 million in total and is making $3M per day.
This early success even places Pokémon TCG Pocket ahead of Pokémon Go, which brings in around $1 million daily.
The app’s earnings are largely driven by Japan, which accounts for approximately 45% of the game’s revenue so far.
The United States follows as the second-highest contributor with 25%, while regions like Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, New Zealand, and France each contribute smaller shares.
The game uses a mix of in-app purchases exclusive items, closing mirroring the real-life card game.
It seems everything Pokemon related turns into gold for the Pokemon Company. While it’s too early to tell if Pokémon TCG Pocket can maintain this high revenue over time, it’s still an impressive debut.
