Scorpions in PEAK’s Mesa biome look small, but they are extremely dangerous and venomous. Their poison has the power to bring you down in a few seconds, and they will not hesitate to bite you if they get too close to you.
Despite their lethal nature, you can avoid them if you are careful or even turn them into food if you know how to deal with them. In this guide, I will share everything you need to know about dealing with Scorpions in PEAK’s Mesa update.
How to Stay Away from Scorpions and Avoid Their Attack in PEAK
The Mesa biome is littered with scorpions, and they appear more frequently when it is dark. As they move in circles, you can easily spot them. These deadly creatures are typically harmless when they are at a distance, but as you get close to them, they’ll charge their stingers and bite you with all their force to deposit their poison.
The right way to deal with a scorpion is to pick it up and throw it away as far as you can. To do this, go near to a scorpion and press E to hold it.
As you pick it up, you will see that its stinger starts glowing, which is an indication that it is about to bite you. At this time press and hold E again. Wait for the gauge to be halfway full and release it. The timing of the throw is vital. If you delay, you will be a bit before you know it.
What is the Cure for Scorpion Poison in PEAK
Cure All or Antidote will help you recover from scorpion’s poison in PEAK. You can find them inside the luggage bags that are spread all across the biome.
You may not always be able to get these consumables; keep on climbing. It takes some time for the poison’s effects to wear off.
How to Cook Scorpions in PEAK
If you want an instant energy source while climbing, and you come across scorpions, then you can cook them instead of throwing them away. There are two methods to do this.
Firstly, you can use a portable stove to cook it. Pick the scorpion using the method I explained above and throw it in the stove. Upon cooking, you get an instant food source, or you can keep it for later.
The second method is dynamite cooking. However, this method requires precise timing, as players need to throw dynamite at a scorpion or throw a scorpion at already primed dynamite. If the timing goes right, you will have a cooked scorpion, which can be eaten and restores energy quickly.
Scorpions in PEAK don’t always need to be cooked. They can just serve as an instant food source during your climb.
