Resident Evil Requiem is just one month out at the time of writing, and Capcom has already sped up its marketing for the game.
Excitement for Resident Evil Requiem has been quite high for a while, and Capcom’s recent efforts have only given fans more reasons to look forward to the series’ return. This excitement is evident by the fact that Resident Evil Requiem is now among Steam’s top 10 best-sellers.

Steam’s current top sellers consist of the usual list of highly popular games, including Arc Raiders and EA Sports FC 26. Resident Evil Requiem is the only unreleased game in the top 10, currently positioned as the 7th best-selling title on the platform.
This position is so impressive since Resident Evil Requiem is still over a month out from its release. Capcom’s marketing efforts have only recently begun ramping up, so the studio will continue to entice more players to pick up the game in the coming days.
The performance on Steam is also interesting, considering the fact that many of the games on the list are currently selling for less than half of Resident Evil Requiem’s price. There’s no telling how well the game will do at release, but it should be able to make its way to the top of Steam’s best-sellers list in the coming weeks.
Do note that this list does not take free-to-play games like CS2, PUBG, and Wuthering Waves into account. However, even when doing so, Capcom’s upcoming horror release does not slip too far below the top 10 best-sellers.
In 2023, Resident Evil 4 Remake became the series’ biggest Steam release to date. Resident Evil Requiem looks set to smash this record, with the upcoming entry in this iconic franchise also securing over 3 million wishlists on the platform since its announcement.
