RoboCop Unfinished Business presents players with various questions throughout the game. Some of them have an instant impact on the gameplay, while some choices manifest themselves at later parts of the game.
When you reach the end of the Perfect Pitch in the game, you will get a flashback in which Miranda is required to make a choice. It is quite a difficult choice to make, as it will decide the fate of two men who assaulted her in the past. These two men are waiting for their death strapped to an electric chair.
If you are wondering what the right choice is and how you should react to the question, read this guide, and you will find a detailed analysis of both the choices.
Should You Press the Button or Refuse to Press the Button in RoboCop Unfinished Business?
Cassius Graves asks Miranda. “This is what you wanted, isn’t it? Show me you are serious about this and press the button.” To this Miranda has two options: “Press the button” and “Refuse to press the button.”
Let’s explore how each choice plays out in the game.
Press the Button
If you choose this option, Miranda will press the button, and both men will be electrocuted to death. Miranda appears worried after the men are executed.
If you select “press the button,” Miranda’s character will become a bit darker as she expresses a certain relief while watching the men die.
As the game moves on, she will be blamed for the death of these two men in future dialogues between different characters. If you don’t want to add a dark touch to Miranda’s character in the game, pick the other option (although the result will be the same, and both men will die in any case). The difference in Miranda’s character will be negligible, and there will be no big impact on the game.
Refuse to Press the Button
If you go for the second choice, Cassius will grab Marinda’s hand and forcefully hit the button. Both of the men will die from electrocution.
Miranda doesn’t watch the execution unless directed by Cassius. Picking the second option does put the blame directly on Miranda, and she will not be seen as fully responsible for the outcome.
For players that don’t want to be vengeful and want to play like a good guy, the second option is the best choice.
What’s the Best Choice?
Regardless of the choice you make, the men will die, and it will not have any major consequences in the story or gameplay. The only difference is how the other characters will perceive Miranda in the long run. So, the right choice will be based on how you want to develop Miranda’s character.
