Schedule 1 uses payphones to allow you to receive calls from key characters including Uncle Nelson (U.N.) who provides guidance for various quests.

You start the game by receiving a message from “Unknown” which leads you to a payphone to talk with U.N. before he tells you to get his stash located near the skatepark.

Schedule 1 relies on payphones to start new missions throughout the entire run. The completion of motel room rentals triggers U.N. to contact you through payphones which leads to hardware store visits among other new objectives.

So needless to say, Payphones play a big role in the main story and other activities in Schedule 1. Here is where you can find all payphones on the map:

What To Do When Payphone Won’t Ring

Multiple players have experienced problems with payphones failing to ring which blocks their ability to progress through quests.

The game will not ring payphones when multiple quests are active at the same time. The solution to this problem involves finding the correct payphone related to your current quest because the ringing function works only with specific payphones that match your progress.
