The Outer Worlds 2 comes with a ton of its own unique weapons that are pretty powerful compared to the basic offerings. The Shrink Ray is one of the most iconic Science Weapons in The Outer Worlds 2. Originally inspired by Dr. Phineas Welles’ experiments, this high-tech pistol does exactly what it sounds like it shrinks enemies down to pocket-size, lowering their armor and damage output in the process.
The location of the Shrink Ray Unique pistol is pretty easy to locate, all you have to do is find a couple of anomaly points on Paradise Island.

How to Get Shrink Ray Unique Weapon in The Outer Worlds 2
Look at the map I shared below, pointing to the Crabble Spawning Grounds Fast Travel point. Travel to this location because the Shrink Ray unique is found on Paradise Island, inside the Crabble Spawning Grounds. There are a ton of rifts and mutants at this location so make sure to carry enough ammo to be sneaky if you’re good at it.
One thing to note here is that you can’t access the weapon immediately. You’ll need the Rift Anomaly Modulator before heading there, as it’s required to stabilize the rift portals that lead to the weapon’s chamber.
The rift I have shared in the image above is the one you need to go to. Actually there are two at this location. Open them both one by one to climb up the structure.
When you fire the Shrink Ray unique weapon it will emit a concentrated beam that miniaturizes the target for several seconds. The shrunken enemy will then deal far less damage, moves slower, and becomes easier to target. The weapon itself isn’t really for dealing damage but to be used as a utility sidearm to shrink enemies and then deal damage with your main weapon.
