Slay the Spire is a tough game even though the overall scale of the project isn’t AAA. The most annoying part of the game is its boss fights and to take them down you not only need the right builds but learn how to avoid the one-shot mechanics.

However, the good news is that Slay the Spire 2 has cheat codes aka console commands that you can use to bring down the difficulty is some cases. But the bad news is that the Slay the Spire 2 cheats don’t work without mods which means there is no native support here.

The process of installing a mod to run cheat codes is pretty simple, the mod in question is called DevConsole and is currently available on Nexus Mods.

How to Enable the Slay the Spire 2 Dev Console

Go to Nexus Mods and download DevConsole mod for Slay the Spire 2. Copy the downloded sts2.dll file into the following path in your Slay the Spire 2 installation folder.

  • /steamapps/common/Slay the Spire 2/data_sts2_windows_x86_64

This path is wherever you installed the game on your PC. You can browse local files via Steam to find this path in case you don’t know which drive has Slay the Spire 2. When you copy/paste the file in the folder, click “Replace” when prompted to replace existing file.

All Console Commands for Slay the Spire 2

When the file is installed, you’ll have unlocked the command console to input cheat codes in Slay the Spire 2. To open the command console, press Tilde (~) key or Shift+8 on your keyboard.

Some commands in the game require you to enter IDs. Certain commands use the in-game names, like card or event names, while others rely on less obvious IDs. To see the available ID names, start typing a command in the console (for example, type “fight”) and press Tab.

You can also view the names of cards in Slay the Spire 2 by going to the Compendium.
