At this point in Slay the Spire 2, you should already know what Quest cards are. One of these is the Byrdonis Egg, which requires you to hatch a Byrdonis Egg at a Rest Site. It’s one of the earliest quests that you can get, and completing it can give you some decent rewards. Follow this Slay the Spire 2 guide on how to complete the Byrdonis Egg quest.
How to Complete the Bydronis Egg Quest in Slay the Spire 2?
You can easily come across the Byrdonis Egg quest inside an Event room, which is a room with a question mark (?) on your map. Your main goal should be to look for the Byrdonis Nest.

As you can see in the above image, you will have to pick from two options. None of these has a negative outcome, aside from adding a temporarily unplayable card to your deck. You may eat the egg for more max HP. But for the Byrdonis Egg quest, you will have to pick the second option.
Once you have gotten the egg, make your way to a Rest site, indicated by the campfire icon on your map, and choose the Hatch option.

Rewards:
As for the rewards for completing the quest, you will get the Byrd Swoop Attack card, which will replace your old Byrdonis Egg card.

| Name | Description |
| Byrd Swoop | Deal 14 damage. |
| Byrd Swoop+ | Deal 18 damage. |
Best Builds to Use with Byrd Swoop in Slay the Spire 2
Byrd Swoop is a high-damage, zero-cost card, which means you will have to pair it up with certain builds and relics for maximum value. You can always try pairing it up with relics that provide buffs for dishing out multiple attacks.
| Relic | Description |
|---|---|
| Akabeko | Your first Attack each combat deals 8 additional damage. |
| Nunchaku | Every time you play 10 attacks, gain 1 Energy. |
| Kunai | Every time you play 3 Attacks in a single turn, gain 1 Dexterity. |
| Ornamental Fan | Every time you play 3 Attacks in a single turn, gain 1 Block. |
| Shuriken | Every time you play 3 Attacks in a single turn, gain 1 Strength. |

Considering the Byrd Swoop is a colorless card, you can add it to any of the five characters’ decks. It fits perfectly with the Ironclad, who can stack Strength for huge attacks, and the Silent, who specializes in spamming low-cost cards for continuous attacks.
And that’s how you complete the Byrdonis Egg quest in Slay the Spire 2. Hope that this guide has helped you. For more on the game, see our other guides for Slay the Spire 2.
