Among some lucky finds of Slay the Spire 2 is the Hidden Gem, which enchants a random card in your Draw Pile with Replay, allowing you to play it multiple times while only paying its cost once. But as I just said, it is a lucky find; you won’t be able to get your hands on one easily. Follow this Slay the Spire 2 guide to find out how to obtain the Hidden Gem card and how the Replay effect works.
How to Get Hidden Gem in Slay the Spire 2?

| Name | Type/Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Hidden Gem | Skill – 1 | A random card in your Draw Pile gains Replay 2. |
| Hidden Gem+ | Skill – 1 | A random card in your Draw Pile gains Replay 3. |
The Hidden Gem is a colorless card that costs (1) Energy to play, and can be used by all five characters in Slay the Spire 2. Being a colourless card means that there are only a few ways to get it. This guide will take you through all of them.

You can get Hidden Gem from the merchant, and it’s the most common way. All you have to do is look for the bags of gold on your map and plan a route to a shop. Among the several useful items, he will have two choices of colorless cards. If you get lucky, there’s a chance you get the Hidden Gem in those options. If you don’t get it, try finding the Merchant at a different location for another chance.

Aside from the merchant, you can also get Hidden Gem via Unknown rooms (indicated by a question mark on your map). These give you a chance to pull a colourless card. If you get lucky, you can also get the Hidden Gem.
If you don’t get the Hidden Gem from these two methods, don’t lose hope, as you can still get it through Certain Relics and cards. They can grant you methods to add colorless cards to your deck, either permanently or just in your current combat. Here’s the list of relics you will need:
| Relics | Explanation |
| Dingy Rug | Card rewards can now contain Colorless cards. |
| Dingy Rug | At the start of each combat, choose 1 of 3 random Colorless cards and add the chosen card into your Hand. |
| Orange Dough: | At the start of each combat, add 2 random Colorless cards into your Hand. |
Here are some cards for Regent to get the Hidden Gem:
| Regent Card | Type/Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Quasar | Skill – 0(2) | Choose 1 of 3 random Colorless cards to add into your Hand. |
| Manifest Authority | Skill – 1 | Gain 7 Block. Add 1 random Colorless card into your Hand. |
| Spectrum Shift | Power – 2 | At the start of your turn, add 1 random Colorless card into your Hand. |
| Bundle of Joy | Skill – 2 | Add 3 random Colorless cards into your Hand. Exhaust. |
What’s Replay in Slay the Spire 2?
Replay is a new effect in Slay the Spire 2 that causes cards to be played additional times depending on their Replay value.

Having a Hidden Gem is extremely beneficial. Even if it lands on a Strike or a Defend, that’s still effectively three Strikes or three Defends for the price of one. Keep in mind that Hidden Gem will not Exhaust when players use it, meaning you can use it as many times as you want. Pair this card with decks that contain several Power cards for better results.
That’s all for this Slay the Spire 2 guide on how to get the Hidden Gem. I hope that you found this guide helpful. For more on the game, see our other guides for Slay the Spire 2.
