Soulframe requires players to choose pacts (the game’s equivalent of classes) at the beginning. The pact you choose has a big input on how you develop your envoy’s character and which Arcanic Abilities are available for him later on in the game.

However, many players are now asking if they can unlock more pacts and change their envoy’s build in Soulframe. Yes, it is possible, and you can unlock all the pacts as the game proceeds. I have created this guide to help players unlock more pacts in Soulframe.

How to Unlock More Pacts in Soulframe

Soulframe’s mechanism for unlocking pacts is more or less similar to other games. Players need to gather three prerequisites to unlock pacts.

The first thing players need is to recruit Tuvalkane, who is a Nightfold Ancestor. After recruiting him, you will need to build a stronger bond until you reach level 3. The best way to do this is to craft new armor and weapons as much as possible.

Then you will need a crafting recipe for pacts. Recipes can be obtained through quests or Faction Rewards. The third prerequisite is the crafting material for the Pact. Each Pact needs a different crafting material. You can see the exact crafting material for each Pact in Tuvalkane’s crafting menu.

How to Recruit Tuvalkane for Unlocking Pacts in Soulframe?

To recruit Tuvalkane in Soulframe, you need to go to Oro’s Well. It is located at the center of Midrath, the main region in Soulframe. Access the quarry to get the fallen helmet, but beware that you will have to fight some enemies. After you get the helmet, you will have a quest objective.

Head north to the abandoned forage. Be careful, as you will encounter enemies on your way. Tuvalkane’s ghost will appear at this time, and you will have a short dialogue with it. You can now recruit Tuvalkane, and it will be automatically added to your Nightfold.

You have now successfully recruited Tuvalkane, and you can speak to it when you want to unlock a new pact or craft totems.

Where to Get the Pact Crafting Recipe in Soulframe?

As I already mentioned, Pact crafting recipes in Soulframe are either rewarded after finishing quests or as Faction Rewards. Luckily for players looking to unlock new Pacts, Orengall and Garren Rood can be unlocked by completing a story quest.

The starter pacts like Tethren, Oscelda, and Sirin are quite difficult to unlock. However, you do get to choose one at the start of the game.

To get one or both of the other two, players need to switch their Faction (I have explained it below briefly). After the Faction is switched successfully, you will need to complete some tasks for them before you can unlock a new Pact.

Pacts like Ode Tempest and Mora’s Hand are unlocked in the same way but need more work in your faction. Players that want to unlock all the Pacts in Soulframe have to put in a lot of effort, as they must complete Faction Tale quests.

I would suggest teaming up with other players and then look to complete Tier 3 Faction Tales in northern and eastern areas of Soulframe.

How to Get Farming Materials for Pacts in Soulframe?

The easiest way to get crafting materials is to complete Faction Tales. In addition to this, looting all the items is a must. Treasure chests, enemy bags, boxes and barrels, weapon racks, and all the other lootable items must not be spared. The rare chests, identifiable with their glow and flower, offer rare and unique resources like Sappheline and Gossamer Quartz. So, don’t skip them in any case.

You can also buy rare Pact crafting materials from vendors. Find Avakot’s Gots, typically found outside the Undercity dungeon. It will cost you 15,000 Dracs for one resource.

You can also farm these crafting materials in Soulframe, but it will require a lot of materials and will take a lot of time as well.

How to Change Your Faction in Soulframe?

Changing your Faction in Soulframe is key to get Faction Rewards, which are essential to unlock more Pacts.

To change your faction, make sure you have progressed enough to buy a Sacred Shimmer. It requires a minimum of 3rd rank and 3,000 Faction Standing to buy it. If you are starting from zero in a particular faction, you will need at least 18,000 Faction Standing to get the Sacred Shimmer.

After you get your hands on the Sacred Shimmer, the next step is to craft the Faction Totem. You must have recruited Tuvalkane at this point. Speak to it at your Nightfold. Players are required to craft one of the following three totems.

  • Kith of Kings: Medallion of Mora
  • Alca’s Children: Sproutfolk Seed
  • Silent Rose: Rose’s Bodkin

The totem for each faction is different. The totems require one Fragment and 4,000 Dracs. The Fragment is usually found when you are farming the Faction Standing to purchase the Sproutfolk Seed.

After getting all of these things, visit Tuvalkane and ask it to make the totem for you. It takes 24 hours for this process.

The process of changing a Faction in Soulframe is almost complete now. Get the crafted totem from the assembled tab at Tuvalkane’s crafting menu and equip the new totem. Head to the new Faction’s enclave and offer your allegiance to the Faction. After you select the right option, you will join the new Faction.

Soulframe lets players change their faction once per week. Hence, unlocking Pacts will take some time and patience.
