Spin Rhythm XD is a really fun game but not until you hit the performance sweet spot. There isn’t much you need to do to get it right so I going to keep this guide short and quick for you.
The great thing about Spin Rhythm XD is you can keep most of the graphics settings high and it’ll run quite well. But there is a sweat spot though where the performance just clicks.
Here are my recommended settings for Spin Rhythm XD on Steam Deck:
- Screen Window Mode: Borderless Window
- Resolution Scale: 100%
- Anti-Aliasing: SMAA
- Background Quality: High
- Graphic Quality: High
- Use VSync: On
- Frame Buffering: Single Buffering (Responsive)
- Bloom: 30%
If you’re running the game on Docked Mode, I recommend that you keep the resolution at 1280×700 with FSR on.
Spin Rhythm XD is a great game that even allowed players to download custom tracks. I use Spinsha for that, do check it out.
Alternate Settings You Can Try
Have the frame limiter turned off in SteamOS. It allows the game to render as many frames as possible, which can improve responsiveness. Set your resolution to 1280×800 which balances visual quality and performance. Lower resolutions generally improve frame rates.
Choose Exclusive Fullscreen as it will provide better performance by allowing the game to take full control of the display. Keep it at 100% scale to adjust rendering resolution.
Turn VSync off and set an in-game frame limit to 60fps.This helps maintain consistent frame rates and prevents excessive GPU usage.
Both of the graphics settings I have shared work great on Steam Deck. I recommend the first one because that is the most commonly used and the most stable as far as I can tell. But it’s up to you which one you want to pick.
