Most romanceables have small fetch or discovery tasks and one of these is Samir’s request is for you to find a stray cat that he grew fond of, but now can’t locate. As a good friend, you decide to help him.
Cat-aloging is one of the most misunderstood quests in the early game. Unlike a typical fetch quest where you know exactly where to go this one depends on knowing exactly where and when to look.
The mission is simple in text: “Find the cat in town, then report back to Samir.” But despite its simplicity, many players miss the hidden path or misinterpret “behind the hotel.”
How to Start Samir’s Cat-aloging Quest in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar

To begin the quest, speak to Samir during Summer, Year 1, to get the Cat-aloging Request. But first, you need to have 1 Heart level with him, which is pretty easy. The quest involves helping Samir locate a cat that he grew fond of. Your Bazaar level also needs to be at Rank 4.
Samir will not accept the quest until those two conditions are met. Trying before then will leave the quest unavailable, but he’ll pop into the Sunnywood Hotel automatically once rank and hearts match.
Where to Find Samir’s Cat in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar
From the bouncy barrel beside Derek and Jules’ home, which is used to get to a cliff path behind the hotel, go right till you find the cat between some trees.
You can also get here by using the road leading straight to the bazaar till you reach the town’s fountain. From there, take the left-side path from the mountain. Keep going till you reach the hotel to find the cat.
Take the cat to Samir at the hotel and give it to him. What do we get after all this? 10x Pet Treat and an increase of 2-3 hearts in your relationship with Samir.
