Playing side quests is a great way to distract yourself from the gloomy darkness in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon. These quests also let players collect useful materials and advance in the game.
In one of these quests, “Pumpkin Peril,” which becomes available after completing the “Roots of Knowledge.” In this quest, players are tasked to find Pumpkin Seeds for Eogan, a rooftop gardener.

How to Complete the Roots of Knowledge Quest in Tainted Grail?
Finding Pumpkin Seeds is not a straightforward task; it requires you to complete some side quests before you can start the “Pumpkin Peril” quest.
First, you will need to complete the “Roots of Knowledge” quest by speaking to Eogan, who is at the top of the tower in the Horns of the South fortress. Once you find him, talk to him, and he will tell you about his friend Rauric. Head to the fortress kitchen and talk to Rauric, and he will tell you about Eogan.
Now get back to Eogan and talk to him about his condition. He will give you some seeds and ask you to plant them in the planters nearby.
It requires around 36 in-game hours for the seeds to grow. You can play some side quests in the meantime or set up a bonfire to relax.
Once the waiting time is over, you will be able to collect Eogan’s Mysterious Root. Hand it over to him, and he will now request you to collect Pumpkin Seeds.
Pumpkin Seeds Location in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon
The “Pumpkin Peril” side quest starts after you hand over the mysterious root to Eogan. Pumpkin seeds can only be purchased from a specific vendor.
From the fort, where the “Roots of Knowledge” quest took place, move northeast and pass the abandoned village on your way. You need to head to Roscree, a small farm. It is exactly west of the All-Mother Temple, the location of the Shadows of the Horns quest.
However, there is a catch. The farm is empty during the day, and you can only get the Pumpkin Seeds during the Wyrd hours. Fast travel to this location at night, and you will find two skeletons tending to the farm. The skeleton you need to talk to is on the right side. He will sell you Pumpkin Seeds for 80 Gold.
You may not find the skeletons there even if you visit the place at the right time. If this is the case, fast travel back and come back here after some time. If they aren’t there still, go out of the farm and come back again to reload the area.
What to Do After Getting Pumpkin Seeds?
After collecting the seeds, fast travel back to Eogan and tell him how and from where you got them. Eogan will not pay heed to your warning, and he will plant them anyway.
After waiting for 36 in-game hours, a strange mutant plant will emerge from it and kill Eogan.
The plant is not easy to kill, but if you succeed in doing so, you will get unique crafting materials. The mutant plant is vulnerable to fire-based attacks. You can also do great by using abilities that can stun the plant to give you some time to attack. Moreover, healing potions and spells can help a lot.
