Avalon is the epitome of gloominess and peril in the Tainted Grail. You will find death and darkness at every turn, so much that you won’t even imagine that something good can happen in the game. As you explore the dark islands, you will come across various items that can help improve the gameplay or help you advance faster in the game.
One such item is the Questing Beast Egg, which is hidden at a secret location. If you are interested in getting this egg and finding out who or what is inside it, this guide is for you.
Questing Beast Egg Location in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon

You can get the Questing Beast Egg after the first few hours of gameplay. To get the egg, you will need to locate the Shrine Of A Forgotten God, near the Horns in the south zone of the map.
The egg is inside the shrine, on the mountain east of the King’s Road. You can fast travel here from the East Gate near Blood Lake.
Go around it, and after you pass the Druidic Altar, you will see a path right next to it. Keep moving on this path until you reach the Archer Lady Statue.
At this point, you will meet Caradoc, who will question you about King Arthur. Once the conversation with Caradoc is over, you can step inside the cave. As you proceed, you will witness a scene of the battle and a corpse of the best, who was killed by Caradoc.

Just behind the beast, there is a small gap and a nest, where you will find the Questing Beast Egg. There is a chest inside the dungeon as well that contains some valuable items. Loot it as well and leave the dungeon as quickly as possible.
What to Do with the Questing Beast Egg?
Once you get the egg, there will be two options: hatch it or stash it. Hatching it will grant you a pet; finally, you will get something to cheer about in a dark world full of death.
The other option is to stash it. If you don’t want a pet at this point in the game, go to the Stash at the Horns of the South and keep it there. You can come back to get the egg when you want and hatch it without any problems.
How to Hatch the Egg and Get the Qrko Companion?

There are no technicalities involved in hatching the egg and getting the pet (Qrko) from it. The instructions on the item reveal that players need to walk a minimum of 5,000 steps to hatch the egg.
There are no conditions attached to it. So, you can complete it any time of the day or in any area, either by walking or running.
The simplest way to do this is to keep the egg in the inventory and check it after some time. After the steps are complete, set up a campfire and rest there for an hour.
That’s a great option to recharge your abilities in the meantime. After this, you will get a cutscene showing the egg hatching. You will get the “A New Friend Achievement” and a pet in the form of Qrko.
Qrko is a great companion, especially when you feel miserable. Players can interact with them or make them do some tricks. Other than this, the pet has no useful features; it is just a cosmetic feature. While in Stealth mode, Qrko doesn’t alert enemies.
